LA Mayor Garcetti announced in the midst of riots and mayhem and a curfew that has essentially locked down LA that he will cut the LAPD's budget by $100-$150 Million.

He was quoted by Ben Shapiro as having said, "LA without police will probably be good."
On what planet? After LA fell into complete chaos this week, Garcetti requested the Governor send in the National Guard, but this moron thinks he doesn't need police.

Let's be clear. The responsibility for George Floyd's death rests solely with George Floyd. The police officers involved will have their day in court. They are presumed innocent until proven otherwise.
Let's take a quick look at George Floyd's culpability in his own demise.
Firstly, he was a career criminal, who spent 8 years in prison for a home invasion robbery, where he held a gun to a woman's stomach while his buddies ransacked and pillaged her home. Does this sound like the kind of guy you would have wanted in your neighborhood. Well, the mainstream media is now "honoring" him and idiots are out carrying signs with his name on it.
Secondly, he was breaking at least 3 laws when the police tried to detain and arrest him. He was driving drunk, apparently trying to pass a counterfeit $20 bill, and according to the coroner, he was high on a dangerous mix of fentanyl and methamphetamine. This street-speedball makes a person highly violent and volitile and is known to make the person under its influence believe they are invincable. How would you like to the be cops tasked with arresting him?
But, we don't need police, according to our lunatic Mayor.
How many hard-working, contributing people are watching their businesses burn this week? How many more jobs are going to be lost as rioters and looters strip what's left of an already destroyed economy due to 2 months of ridiculous, pointless Covid lockdowns?
Come to Southern California with your business. We'll tax the hell out of you and give you nothing in return. Law and order are out of the question. The roads and freeways are crumbling despite a $.58 tax on every gallon of gasoline sold to, you know, build up the roads and freeways. Money collected for the benefit of us all and re-directed by Garcetti to his special virtue-signalling projects and away from the roads.

If Floyd hadn't been high and drinking and driving, if he hadn't been on a lethal cocktail of drugs that made him deranged and feel invincible, he'd still be alive. This is a simple case of suicide by cop. Who's to know what the police officers on the scene felt they had to do to subdue him? Put yourself in their shoes for a moment.
